Gen V Season 2 is coming out on September 17, and a teaser trailer for the same was released by Prime Video on June 1, 2025. This The Boys spin-off revolves around young supes getting trained to potentially join The Seven. The trailer for Gen V Season 2 gives us a sneak peek into what's coming in season two, especially what might have happened to Andre Anderson.
Andre Anderson was played by Chance Perdomo, who unfortunately passed away in late March 2024. Often, shows recast another actor after the original actor playing the character passes away. However, Gen-V has decided to honor Perdomo's memory by including Andre Anderson in the second season in a unique way, despite the character not being on screen.

What happens to Andre Anderson in Gen V Season 2?
At the end of Gen V season one, we saw Homelander attack Marie with his heat vision, followed by Marie, Jordan, Andre, and Emma getting imprisoned. As the trailer shows us, in Gen V Season 2, all of them except Andre are forced to return to Godolkin University. This raises the obvious question: What happened to Andre?
Something unfortunate happened to Andre, but we do not know what it is yet. The trailer does not confirm if he's dead or imprisoned, but his father, Polarity (played by Sean Patrick Thomas), is angry. Polarity himself is a superhero who has the power of magnetic manipulation, and was so keen on making sure Andre became a Vought superhero too, that he injected Andre with compound V when he was merely a child. However, when his son disappears with no explanation, Polarity wants answers.
Polarity was seen in multiple scenes in the trailer, meaning Andre's story in Gen V Season 2 is not just a formality done to show respect to the late actor. We see Polarity asking the right questions and fighting to find out what happened to Andre. In the trailer, we see Polarity say:
"I want to burn the school down to the motherf**ing studs."
While it makes sense for a father to react like this to his son's disappearance in this manner, Polarity's statement holds extra weight. Polarity is extremely loyal to Vought and is also a trustee at Godolkin University. Any person who had so much faith in Vought and is associated with the university would not be this angry at them without a reason.

Polarity's anger seems to suggest that something extremely bad might have happened to his son. He is also doing his best to find out where Andre is and what Vought did to him. In the trailer, Polarity asks someone:
"What really happened to my son?"
Both Polarity and the viewers are waiting for the answer to this question, and Gen V Season 2 will hopefully answer it. There is always a chance that the creators might cast someone else as Andre later, to continue his story, but that seems unlikely.

If they wanted to recast the character, the creators would've probably done it by now. Since they have not (as far as official news goes), it looks like Andre's story will end with his father finding out what happened to him and hopefully avenging him.
Gen V Season 2 arrives on Prime Video on September 17, 2025.
